Special Morning Show Guest, Mayor Tony Groves of Brady, Texas brings an update on the September 15, 2020 City Council meeting. Meeting included finalizing the City budget for 2021, the tax rate for 2020 and City fees for 2021.

The Council also discussed and approved leasing the G. Rollie White Complex to the Friends of G. Rollie White 501(c)(3).

Cong. Conaway indicated this is his last town hall in Brady as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing the 11th District.

Classes in Mason schools have been back in session for just over a week, and Mason ISD Superintendent Stan Whittle reported that first week went well.

But, like other schools across the state, dealing with COVID 19 presents challenges.

For Mason, one of those challenges is that they received word this week that three students had tested positive for the COVID 19 virus.

Republican U.S. House candidate, August Pfluger, was a guest on KNEL's Morning Program Thursday, August 20, 2020. Pfluger was also the guest speaker at a meeting of McCulloch County Republican women.

A native of San Angelo, Pfluger won the Republican party nomination as the candidate for the U.S. House District 11 seat in the November General Election.

The seat is currently held by Republican Mike Conaway who chose not to seek re-election.
